Day One

August 9th 2020.

In the very early hours of the morning, I had just discovered Hermitcraft on YouTube and just had to find my own little version of that magic.
I searched for a long while before finding Beacoland on Planet Minecraft.

It was a microscopic version of the Beacoland we know today. There were often a maximum of 3 people online (including myself), just a group of friends playing (see the message below) who allowed me in to join them.

From the first interaction on there, I was absolutely hooked. I never ever imagined Beacoland would become as important a part of my life as it has! From starting me on my streaming journey to meeting some of my closest friends, being a part of the amazing team running this for everyone to enjoy, life struggles, health issues, you name it – Beacoland and it’s incredible community has been there through it all. Even when I took some (involuntary) time away, I came back and it was like nothing had changed – and I mean that in the best possible way – everyone was still so welcoming, so friendly, so in love with this place just like I am.

I don’t think there will be enough words to say how much this place, and moreover, the people here mean to me as an individual, but it’s never been about that. It’s about the whole. The way everyone comes together, the events, the launches, the laughter, the friends we miss and the friends we will never ever lose.

Thank you to Beaco, Roon, Robin and Cole for welcoming me all the way back nearly 6 years ago. Thank you to everyone for being a part of what Beacoland is (and will continue to be). I love this place like a second home and couldn’t imagine ever being anywhere else.

I said recently to the man himself, sending that message asking if I could play here was one of the single best decisions I have ever made.

Much love to any and all who have been and will be a part of the journey.
